Circa 1890, unusual rare oval Japanned jardinière. The body is satinwood with multiple inlays and Chinoiserie panels depicting Chinese scenes. The panels are hand painted with flowers. The jardinière has a simple shaped frieze and stands on 4 inlaid shaped legs. The jardinière has a metal liner and can used for flowers or as a wine cooler.
