A beautiful unused 1970s Stratton 'Mini-Convertible' powder compact in superb condition. The lid features a diamond cut gilt motif and the most gorgeous crimson enamel. The brass has been lacquered during the manufacturing process which means this item will retain its good looks, never tarnish and will not need to be cleaned. All clasps and hinges work perfectly. This compact mirror comes with the original presentation box, inspection docket and velour edged sifter. It is suitable for all types of loose face powder as well as many types of compressed powder such as - Max Factor Creme Puff, Rimmel Stay Matte, Constance Carroll CCUK and Miss Beauty. The mirror is excellent and gives an accurate reflection. The powder well is lined with a protective waxed paper insert. The base of the powder mirror compact is decorated with chevrons and vertical lines and signed 'Stratton MADE IN ENGLAND'. The whole item gleams and it comes with a clean foam puff, ready to use. This vintage handbag mirror measures 3" and weighs 73.4 grams.
