A stunning unused gold plated Stratton powder compact and lipstick holder set which was crafted in the 1970s. The compact is ideal for all loose foundation and also most pressed foundation. For example: Max Factor, Rimmel and CCUK. Pressed powder pans measuring between 59 - 67 mm diameter will fit this compact. The lipstick holder / mirror has a malleable clip which is suitable for all lipstick tubes.

Laughton & Sons Ltd. (the owners of the Stratton brand) produced a gold plated line. This set is the most beautiful creation of the line that we have seen.

The compact and the lipstick holder/mirror are fully coated with high quality gold plate. Each item is gold plated including the interiors. The finish is superb and lacquered which will prevent tarnishing. This set will not require any cleaning at all.

The engraving on the lids is captivatingly beautiful. The photographs do not do the set justice. All clasps and hinges work perfectly. The mirrors are excellent and give accurate reflections. The set comes with the original case, which is lined with golden silk. The interior lid has the Stratton signature emblazoned across it.

The original pouch, instruction leaflet, inspection docket, puff, sifter and lipstick dummy tube are present. Both items are signed Stratton MADE IN ENGLAND.

The compact measures 3" and weighs 90.8 grams. The lipstick mirror / holder measures 2 1/2" and weighs 20.8 grams.
