Unused Boxed Stratton Compact Mirror
A super gilt lacquered unused boxed Stratton compact mirror which is ideal for use with loose face powder, as a handbag mirror or beautiful collectible. The lid features a central circular cartouche and complex guilloche engraving. The mirror gives a good clear reflection. The mirror frame and inner lid are signed Stratton. The gilded brass was lacquered during the manufacturing process and so it will not tarnish or require cleaning. The compact is fitted with an automatic opening inner lid. The pristine rosette, pouch, puff and sifter are present. The puff is unusual - the softest wool lines the underside. The top is pale yellow with green foliage and pink petals. Measures 3 1/2 inches (9 cm) diameter and weighs 135.4 grams.
