An adorable 1950s Clover musical powder box in excellent condition complete the original accessories - puff & sifter. The music box has a lid decorated with mother of pearl & abalone.Totally gorgeous & it plays very well. The sweet little tune it plays I do not know it is a little like tinkling bird song. The inner lid is signed 'CLOVER' & bears the registered trade mark. The winding key is signed 'SANKYO'.
Superbly made with a good bevelled mirror. The brass is a deep rich gold & the base has an attractive brushed/satinized finish.
This adorable musical powder box measures almost 3" X 2" & weighs 114.5 grams.
