An impressive and rather fine D end dining table. This table which has two leaves shuts to a 48inch round or extends out to seat 8 with ease (91ins long )and 10 with a bit of a squeeze as can be seen in a couple of the pictures). In lovely condition it sits on a fine reeded leg and is very much in the Georgian style but is Victorian or Edwardain, most likely Victorian. This dining table has two really important benefits over the normal example one would expect to find. It opens and closes on a running gear, normally these have fit in rails to carry the leaves or a central gateleg type table. Also the collar is very shallow which gives this table masses of leg room. These antique tables are normally rather short of leg space for modern living as people were of course generally much shorter in Georgain times.
All in all a great table and head and shoulders above most examples in the leg space department. Chairs are available to go with this if needed...........SORRY NOW SOLD....... We have been in business for 40 years and are now coming up to retirement. We are in consequence looking to reduce our stock, Delivery can be arranged with a specialist carrier for around £70 to most areas.
