This is a very good quality set of three splat back Regency dining chairs, circa 1820 - 1830, which would benefit from being re-upholstered.

This is a very good quality set of three splat back Regency dining chairs, circa 1820 - 1830, which would benefit from being re-upholstered. This style of antique furniture was made famous by the renowned designer, Thomas Hope in England during the early 1800’s. The set consists of two carver chairs with a reeded frame and turned rope twist design central stretcher. All chairs are made from top quality mahogany and are firm and solid.

Condition Report
These chairs are in very good condition and commensurate with the age of the chairs. All chairs are free of wood worm, solid in joint and are ready to use. The seats would benefit from being re-upholstered as they show minor wear. There are very old repair to the “ears” of the chairs however, they are solid in joint. There are no breaks to the legs. All in all, this is a solid, clean good quality and comfortable pair of chairs.

Delivery to any address in mainland England & Wales is £49. For delivery to Scotland & Ireland, please email for a quote. If you wish to avoid the delivery cost, you can collect the item in person. Delivery will be made by our own specialised furniture delivery service, or in some cases we will use a courier service for distant deliveries. We will inform you by email and/or telephone and provide you with full delivery details including when to expect delivery. Delivery times are usually 1-4 weeks (depending on location). Delivery includes insurance we can assure you that the packaging standard is second to none and will fully protect the item.

UK Returns & Refunds
A 7 day “no quibble” return policy (from the date you receive the item) is available if you are not happy with this item. The buyer is required to cover the cost of return transit – the collection cost is the same as the delivery cost. You will be given a refund (excluding the delivery and collection cost) as long as the item is returned in the same condition. If you decide to return the item at the point of delivery, you will only pay for the delivery cost. We will collect the item using our specialist Furniture Delivery Company to avoid any damage. We will not accept returns via a courier service due to experience of damaged items in transit. This refund policy only applies to deliveries to the UK.

UK Buyer Payment
For UK buyers, we will accept cash on collection or delivery cheque, credit card, BACS (free bank to bank transfer). Payment is requested within 5 days of the sale.

International Buyers
