Thomas Mullenex of Derby Longcase antique clock . This clockmaker worked in Derby in Irongate during the middle 18th century.
Quite a few of his antique clocks have been recorded mainly with round dials.
This clock made in about 1750 ,like many other derbyshire Longcase clock has a round dial . This example is of brass and has been silvered which is normal for brass dialed antique clocks.
The movement is 8 day running and the clock strikes the hours . In good running condition having recently been serviced .
The mainly oak case is well made and not to tall . With an attractive swan neck pediment and quarter pilasters to the trunk and pleasing golden oak colour .
Thomas Mullinex was working between 1748 and 1782.He served his apprenticeship with Whitehurst of Derby .
