This exquisite Victorian mahogany longcase clock is in excellent antique condition, showcasing the elegance and craftsmanship of the era. The eight-day movement is housed in a stunning hood featuring a carved swan neck pediment, adding a touch of grandeur. Turned columns flank an arched glass door, enhancing its sophisticated design. The enamelled face boasts a 12'' dial with Roman numerals, along with two subsidiary dials for seconds and date. The clock face is beautifully decorated with painted floral patterns in the corners and in the arch, adding to its charm. The longcase trunk features a long arched door with string inlay decoration, flanked by columns, further emphasizing its refined appearance. While the clock bears minor imperfections typical of antiques, its striking appearance, warm colouring, and amazing patina make it a standout piece.
