A longcase clock by Thomas Benbow of Northwood (Shopshire) c1780. An Oak case with mahogany decoration and trimming with long trunk door and swan neck pediment .standing on bracket feet .
The movement very high very nice round painted dial so very common to middle england .Of 8day running the movement is very well made and is in excellent order having been servised and cleaned .
Thomas Benbow is listed Vol 1 of Watch and antique clock makers of the world as working in 1785 .Clocks have been seen signed by him at Northwood ,Newport and Tullamore
