STUNNING & RARE This beautifully decorated ships chest of drawers in honour of Captain T Hart R.N., HMS Duke, 1851, Portsmouth.
The 'eyelets' on each side would be for ropes to pass through or for attachement of rope Becketts - to enable loading on/off board ship.
This piece has seen the world, so the painted surfaces are unrestored, to maintain its integrity & character.
