Exceptional quality late 19th.c. oak bookcase c.1890. Impressively proprtioned, standing 104″ tall with an arched glazed bookcase top fitted with three adjustable shelves (depth 11″) over a two door cupboard base and two drawers in the waist. With a tall mouded cornice over shaped doors with raised mouldings and turned roundels at the tops. Unusual carved brackets either side of the doors where the top meets the base. Ogee moulded edge to the top of the base, relief moulded door and drawer fronts flanked with crisply carved acanthus leaf corbels and raised on an ogee moulded plinth. Fabulous quality original brass handles to the drawers, note also the long lock to the right hand door. Solid oak sides, drawer linings and back boards. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Keys supplied.
