This is an elegant, tall, Victorian Oil Lamp with a green glass reservoir, that has been converted from oil to electricity. It has a new bespoke silk shade by the makers of the Downton Abbey, Mr. Selfridge, Peaky Blinders TV series lampshades.

The lamp itself had a square brass base, with a circular socle and a circular column topper with a smaller socle. The glass reservoir is in green with a hobnail pattern. The brass burner has two control knobs which proclaim that the lamp is British Made.

The bespoke silk shade is in the 'Wolsey' style and has a green silk crown, gold silk pleated body, soft gold fringe overlaid with ivory and gold beaded fringe and is trimmed with a toning gold braid.

The lamp has been completely rewired in pale gold antique style fabric covered braided flex and has all new fittings, including safer switched lampholder, plug and shade carrier. As with all electrical items it is recommended that it be checked by a qualified electrician before use.

Condition: Very good. There is one barely noticeable dent to the column, otherwise the lamp is in perfect condition, including the glass reservoir. The shade is new.
