Here we have a very rare and wonderful Queen Anne burr Elm lowboy c1700. As you can see the lowboy has remarkable colour and patina. There is a two plank top with the most stunning grain and colour. The top has a thumb moulded edge. Below there is a single drawer with period handles and escutcheon and stunning burr Elm front. The legs are beautifully turned in Elm and are joined by stretchers. As you would imagine the whole is constructed with pegged mortice and tenon joints. The legs retain the original feet. The drawer sides have been replaced some time ago. The dimensions are approx 68 cm wide 67 cm high 39 cm deep.
