Here we have a very rare George II Elm table c1740. As you can see the table has outstanding colour and patina. This is truly one of the best antique tables we have had through our showroom. The top is a stunning thick single piece of elm and at 56 cm wide it has come from an amazing Elm tree as there is not even any sap wood to the edges. Not only does the top have super grain and colour but it also has a rare dish top with a beautifully moulded edge and scribe mark. The stem is also solid Elm throughout and beautifully turned. This leads to well shaped Elm flat legs to again well shaped feet. Of course the top has a little warp but so it should. A truly remarkable table once in the stock of renowned dealer Andrew Singleton of Suffolk House Antiques. In full retail condition and ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 56 cm wide 56 cm deep 64 cm high.
