A superb quality large and imposing 19th.Century Gothic carved oak eagle lectern. The eagle stands on an oak ball above a turned column with a stepped octagonal shaped base with pierced Gothic decoration. The carving is top quality and very realistic with a good warm patina. The back of the eagle having a shaped book rest. Dimensions:- Height... 70''/ 178cm. Depth…25''/ 64cm. Width ...25''/ 64cm.
