Stratton Ballet Dancer Powder Compact vintage stratton powder
This is a beautiful, classical Stratton piece. A super powder compact in MINT condition. c.3" inch it looks totally unused all clasps and hinges are perfect, mirror clear and soft black pouchette - A more modern piece it was based on the vintage Stratton Ballerina ranges. Whilst this piece was known as Giselle, it actually depicts Nureyev & Fonteyn in the 1968 Ballet of Margeurite & Armand - the picture itself is from a painting by Peter Deighan, who I understood commissioned the painting as a 40 year tribute to the couple. A great collectable Stratton piece in immaculate order.
