Stratton Ballet Compact Signed Baron

Such a delightful 1950s Stratton powder compact which depicts a "reproduction in colour of Ballet Scenes photographed for Stratton by Baron".
Baron was the Royal Court photographer to the British royal family.
He took the official photographs for the wedding of HM Queen Elizabeth II to HRH Prince Philip in 1947.
Baron was also famed for his photographs of ballet dancers.
The lid decoration is without fading or losses and has maintained its vibrancy for over 70 years.
Four ballerinas are performing the Pas de Quatre which captures the essence of their elegance, poise and delicacy.
The lid is signed Baron.
Lift the lid to see a bevelled mirror which gives a good and accurate reflection.
The mirror has some age related haze.
The inner lid is decorated with the Compact-in-Hand logo & attractive vertical lines.
The original pouch and sifter are present.
This mid-century vanity is suitable for use as a handbag mirror, loose foundation compact mirror or cherished display collectible.
