A very attractive and unusually small proportioned, country made, late 17th cent oak coffer, this has panelling to the lid, front and sides with arcade style carving to the top rail. The interior has its original candle box. This is an excellent strong little coffer in fine condition, the height is ideal for sitting on if this is required. The right hand upright stile is slightly wider than the left, this is entirely original. Sizes: 30 ¾ “(78cms) wide, 16”(40cms) deep, 18 ½ “(47cms) high. Date circa 1680. I have reluctantly decided that after 60 years spent in this marvellous business it is, figuratively speaking, time to hang up my cheque book. I have therefore made considerable reductions to the prices of most of my stock. Please do not hesitate to get in touch if any items are of interest. Deliveries carried at as normal.
