Charming little early 19th.c. mahogany console table c.1830. Just 29″ wide. Particularly well figured solid mahogany top with a beautiful carved and moulded edge. Over a symmetrically veneered apron with a single oak lined drawer in the front and a repeat of the carved moulding to the bottom edge, also continued on the sides. Raised on shaped front supports with carved acanthus leaf detail at the tops and curving back toward the rear stiles. Over a stretcher shelf, veneered to match and with cupid’s bow front edge. Raised on cascade front legs with reeded face and carved claw feet. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops.
