Small Georgian Oak Chest of Drawers.
I highly recommend this chest of drawers.
It is an exceptional Georgian Oak Chest of fine quality and notable small size and originality. It measures only 35.5 inches wide by 32 inches high.
It dates to the last quarter of the 18th C, and has 4 full width graduated drawers with cock beaded edges.
The drawers have their original linings of oak dovetailed sides and pine bottoms.
The casing is all original, solid oak with its original pine backboards. It has a deep ogee moulding to the base and its original bracket feet.
The handles are antique period replacement brass sheraton ovals, correct in style for this piece and which fit the original pin centres. The escutcheons are inlaid lozenges of contrasting oak
In excellent condition throughout, it has a deep nut brown colour and patina which is superb.
