This is a superb quality small antique 4ft 9” oak English 17th Century solid oak refectory table, circa 1680.

This is a superb quality small antique 4ft 9” oak English 17th Century solid oak refectory table, circa 1680. The table top is show later carvings around the perimeter. Below, the table boasts the original turned legs and stretchers detailing the original profuse carvings to the apron. The table base also boasts a freeze with the original lunette floral carvings to all sides. There is a shaped frieze to one side. The four legs are connected by the original circumferential carved stretcher with a dowelled and pegged frame. The table would suit either a small kitchen, dining room or act as a serving table.

Condition Report
In very good condition commensurate with age. There is a small water mark on the top but the table has a superb colour and boasts the original patination. The top has most likely been decorated with carvings during the Victorian period. Nominal old use marks but nothing significant considering the age of the item. Free of wood worm, solid in joint, and ready to use.

UK Returns & Refunds
A 7 day “no quibble” return policy (from the date you receive the item) is available if you are not happy with this item. The buyer is required to cover the cost of return transit – the collection cost is the same as the delivery cost. You will be given a refund (excluding the delivery and collection cost) as long as the item is returned in the same condition. If you decide to return the item at the point of delivery, you will only pay for the delivery cost. We will collect the item using our specialist Furniture Delivery Company to avoid any damage. We do not accept returns via a courier service due to experience of damaged items in transit. This refund policy only applies to deliveries to the UK.

For UK buyers, we will accept cash on collection or delivery cheque, credit card, BACS (free bank to bank transfer). Payment is requested within 5 days of the sale.
