Good set of six mid 19th.c. Welsh alder and fruitwood cottage dining chairs c.1840. Low backrests with an unusual design featuring pierced baluster shaped centre splats between straight rails and spindles with four turned balls set between the lower rails. Well figured alder wood board seats with a moulded edge. Tapering square legs joined with stretchers to all four sides. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
