A fine quality set of 6 mid-Victorian period balloon back dining chairs. Very well made in solid walnut, now with a wonderful mellow colour and patina. The shaped "balloon" backs are decorated with scrolling, crisply carved, detailing. The turned and tapering front legs are embellished with reeded decoration. These chairs sit well, free from all wobbles. The frames are in excellent condition. The upholstery is not in perfect condition but it is serviceable. If you desire we can get them professionally re-upholstered in the fabric of your choosing.
