Superb set of 6 late Georgian dining chairs in elm c.1800. The design is a country vernacular interpretation of a Chippendale chair, with a shaped top rail and particularly attractive pierced back splat. Over simple board seats raised on square legs joined with stretchers to each side. Ingenious antique repairs to two of the chairs with pierced brass plates attached to the rear of the splats. Excellent condition, solid and sturdy great colour, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
