A set of six very attractive, early Victorian period, mahogany dining chairs. These chairs have all their fine original polished surface which is in excellent condition, they have shaped and carved balloon backs and stand on finely turned and fluted front legs. The seats are of the drop in type, the covers have been replaced recently and are in good clean condition. They are in excellent, strong, sound, original condition throughout. Sizes: 18”(46cms) wide, 16”(40cms) seat depth. 33”(84cms) high. Seat height: 18”(46cms). Date circa 1840. I have been in the antiques business since 1962, starting in the family business in Staffordshire.
In the early 1970’s I moved to Hertfordshire where I opened my own business and created a limited company.
Today, my business is carried out via the internet. Any successful antiques business, and particularly mine, remains a way of life and a hobby, it continues to give me enormous enjoyment and satisfaction.
