This is an antique set of six French dining chairs dating to c.1900.

Displaying a classic French country kitchen look, this set of 6 ladder back rush chairs are in good order throughout offering a comfortable seat in a sturdy oak frame with good grain detail and a waxed finish.

The square section legs are united by a box stretcher and feature Louis XV style, restrained cabrioles to the lower part of the fore legs which are united by a shaped stretcher.

The shaped, boarded aprons (one of which is trimmed square) beautifully frame the rush seats which are in first class order. Behind the seats the dished ladder backs are well formed in wavy form with the upper most featuring a carved, stylised floral rosette with leaves.
