Set of five mahogany brass Regency dining chairs
These are a very good set of chairs. They are made in mahogany and I think they are Regency. They are certainly a Regency design, dating to around 1820. My only proviso is that the Edwardians made Georgian chairs to Regency designs and it is devilishly difficult to tell them apart. There is an old Victorian repair to the back of one chair which leads me to think they date to 1820 rather than 1910.
Enough waffle. The chairs have saber shaped front legs, reeded leading edges and nice flame mahogany panels in the design of top and mid rail. The chairs have drop in seats.
The very unusual original feature to these chairs is a brass rope design carrying handle at the top of each chair back. The quality sets these chairs apart.
There are five chairs. (If you want six it would be easy enough to purchase a Trafalgar armchair which would be very much in keeping with the set.) The joints are good. The condition is good. One old repair to a back leg - see photo. The chairs are upholstered and the upholstery is smart (one with a water mark).
If you have a period or mahogany dining table then these chairs will look very good along side it.
Each chair back is 35 inches high and the seats are 18 inches high and 19 inches wide.

Once you have booked with them they will get in touch with me directly for collection so you only need concern yourself with the delivery date to you.
You pay the couriers for their service on delivery.
