This is a set of six antique ladderback dining chairs. An English, oak rush seat set with pair of carver elbow chairs, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910.

Set has four standards & a pair of carver elbow chairs
Good quality in English oak with a mid-tone, polished finish
Rush seat pads in good order throughout
Gently raked 'wavy line' back for comfort

Recalling designs of the late Georgian period in the Lancashire/Cheshire area of the U.K.
Practical & attractive - suitable for daily use
Generous 48cm seat height

Complemented by feature inset rosette to rears
Raised on stout turned front legs, over a traditional hoof foot, and square section rear
United by a twin side rail box stretcher with decorative turned front stretcher
