This is a set of 6 antique dining chairs. An English, oak seat in the manner of Liberty, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.
Dashing colour, figuring and finish sets apart this dining suite
Displaying a desirable aged patina throughout
Select oak shows fine grain interest and rich caramel hues
Original Rexine covered drop-in seats with dark green palette
Presented with overtones of Art Nouveau and the burgeoning Arts & Crafts movement
Shaped and pierced top rail set within tall supports
Reverse banjo back splat with arrow shaped piercing
Each comfortable seat pad in good order, having aged gracefully
Beneath the shaped front apron, two tapering legs terminate in broad spade feet
Gently splayed, the square section rear legs proceed from the side rails
Unmarked as such, each seat displays a quality associated with Liberty of London
