Here is an example of a superb quality set of 10 antique French Louis XV revival carved oak provincial ladder-back dining chairs, circa 1900. The chairs are heavy in weight, which is a good sign of excellent quality and means they are very sturdy. The shaped backs are carved with floral patterns to the top ladder likewise the front of the seat frame is caved with a floral pattern. The backs of the chair are supported by several shaped horizontal splats and chamfered vertical shaped supports. The drop-in-seats features the original wood frame rush seats, which are in good condition. The front legs have a very pretty cabriole design, which terminate in a curved roll at the feet. Underneath, the chairs are connected with four stretchers to ensure they are sturdy. The backs of the legs are shaped which is a sign of good quality. The chairs are firm and would look good anywhere especially as they are comfortable and consume little space.
This item would look superb in a variety of rooms, especially the kitchen or dining room. This item would certainly grace any home or office and a great investment, as they are an extremely functional. So don't miss out your chance to own a lovely piece of antique furniture.
The chairs feature a rich warm oak colour. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.

This is a true set of chairs (not a matched set) and they are in excellent condition. The chairs are very heavy which is a good sign of excellent quality and means they are very sturdy. The chairs feature the original rush drop in seats. There is some natural colour variation to the rush seats and oak chair frames. All chair frames are in excellent condition and importantly, have no breaks to the legs or backs of the chairs. This set of chairs boasts the original polish, which ensures a fantastic natural depth of colour to the oak. All chairs are solid in joint, do not wobble and are free of woodworm.
