Offered for sale is this superb quality set of eight Hepplewhite style dining chairs dating to about 1900 - 1920 and in excellent original condition consisting of six single and two carver chairs. The chairs are a lovely mellow brown mahogany colour. The set of eight mahogany Hepplewhite style chairs have a hoop shaped back rail with pierced and carved centre splat above drop-in seats upholstered in a rich maroon/crimson and gold hand woven tapestry. Standing on square tapered supports with H stretcher. The set of 8 antique mahogany chairs have a Hampton & Sons Ltd., Pall Mall East, London, plaque on each chairs. The top quality timber with crisp carving are what you associate with this company and the chairs are in superb original condition having been waxed along with the seats in excellent condition.
