Antique set of 6 William IV/Regency/early Victorian 19C balloon back carved rosewood dining chairs.

Fine quality chairs dating from 1820 to 1850, most likely William IV.

Very desirable and attractive design, with inverted tulip front legs.

A great rare find, with a lovely colour, age, patina and charm.

Solid heavy chairs, with no loose joints.

The seats have recently been reupholstered in a very heavy weight upholstery fabric, with a natural, light cream/oatmeal colour.

Overall maximum dimensions

Chair 47cmW x 48cmD x 85cmH (46cmH seat when sat on).

Historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, repairs and alterations, as is always the way with antique furniture of this age. The chairs have had historic repairs as you would expect...but all is good and solid now. A few historic woodworm holes, believed extinct, that we have treated for good measure.
