Antique set of 4 Victorian 19C heavy carved oak dining chairs.

These are heavy, quality chairs dating from the Victorian period, which have a lot of age and charm.

Lovely proportions and styling, with stuff over seats.

Solid and heavy, with no loose joints and period ceramic castors to the front legs (as is usual).

Overall maximum dimensions

Chair 500mmW x 580mmD x 930mmH (470mmH seat when sat on).

Historic knocks, marks, repairs and alterations, as is always the way with antique furniture. There is some damage to the fragile turnings on the bottom of the front legs (as is usual for this style of chair), where the castors are concealed. The upholstery is old, a bit tired and the seats are a little out of shape (still comfortable, strong and usable). We have not inspected components concealed beneath the fabric.
