Antique Advertising - Secret Display Book Shelf for Kirk Brothers Opticians 1930

Advertising Interest -

A fantastic mid to early 20th century oak tabletop bookcase with a complete set of 12 fake books.
The books open to reveal a storage box with no pages - Inside each fake book are lots of different parts of spectacles.
This would have sat counter top in the London based Options shop of the Kirk Brothers.
Most likely used for when a customers needed a repair to their glasses.

A really nice interesting piece - Plaque to the back of the bookcase reads ' Kirk Brothers, London'.
Just google the Kirk Bothers Optics to read all about their history - The brothers really were pioneers in the optics industry.

Condition - Good.
The bookcase is in very good order with no damage.
Some of the fake books are a little delicate and have signs of wear.
