Scottish Oak Spinning Wheel, Jenny Wool Winder
An Old Oak Scottish Spinning Wheel or Spinning Jenny with a Victorian Mahogany Wool Winder
This is a charming piece if a little primitive, it has unusual scratch carvings and may have been made as a love token, the carving seem to show a sea creature on the treadle and cup near the spinner
It is in working condition though the flyer has a small piece broken off but will no doubt work well, the main frame is made in Beech with an Ash wheel
This is surely a one off I don’t think you will see another like it and it comes with a well used Wool winder
The Spinning Wheel is 20” long, 29” high and 10” wide, and the wool winder is 45” high
