An Early very original 19th Century mahogany longcase clock of simple design. It has a dome top hood with a 13" enamel dial, and a cast brass bezel. The case has a long door with boxwood stringing and a simple plinth base. The dial has subsidiary date and seconds dials and is signed by the maker Alexander Innes of Dalkeith. He is listed as born in 1757 and died in 1824. It has an 8 day movement that sounds the hours on a bell and has a well painted seashell pendulum.

Current Condition
The case is in excellent original condition, the movement has been fully serviced in our own workshops and is guaranteed for 12 months. If you would like a video clip of this antique clock striking please email us.

46.00cm wide 199.00cm high 19.00cm deep (18.11 inches wide 78.35 inches high 7.48 inches deep) We have been established since 1978, dealing in and restoring most antiques, specialising in clocks and furniture. We have our own workshops where we carry out specialist restoration work.-
