This is a rare one, a saw back Mauser butcher with the saw officially removed. This was done after the American army issued orders that any German soldiers found using a saw back bayonet would be shot ! . It’s marked on one side. GEBR HARTKOPF The other side of the blade o dietrick ALTENBRG ? I have never seen one marked both sides. You can clearly see where the saw has been ground off.
