We are delighted to offer for sale this very rare original, William IV Circa 1830 very large, fully restored, Chesterfield cigar brown leather ottoman bench footstool with internal storage and period Rosewood barley twist columns

A very good looking collectable and rare stool, I have never seen one this large before, usually they are half the size, the frame is as mentioned made from period Rosewood, it has barley twist side columns which nicely compliments the brown leather upholstery. Inside you find a very large storage space which has been newly upholstered with a black cotton lining
The stool can be used as a two seat bench or a very large ottoman /coffee table, usually you place a large book or two on top or some decorative trays and they act as resting points for glasses and cups
As mentioned this piece is fully restored, it has been stripped down to the frame and totally rebuilt, the upholstery is fully aniline Italian cattle hide leather, this was newly upholstered, fully aniline leather is plain which is significantly more expensive that pretreated leather, the hide was then hand dyed six times, antiqued, sealed waxed down and polished, all the upholstery is held in place with a double row and hand tacked brass studs to the top and single row to the sides and base, the insides have all new black fabric, this is quite literally the finest quality ottoman available for sale anywhere in the world today

If sold items aren’t collected within three months and no arrangements have been made for long term storage you will forfeit the item and payment.

We prefer collection on all items from Wimbledon SW19-3BE, If you have your own courier or wish to book the collection in yourself we are happy to accommodate you.
