This is an exceptionally rare 1950s Stratton powder compact. The model itself a 'Queen with complete inner lid' is rare - only having two known years of availability 1957 & 1958. However, I have never seen this lid on a 'Queen' or any other model of Stratton compact. In addition this amazing Stratton compact mirror comes with all the original accessories & it is pristine & unused. HOW FABULOUS! The lid is high quality black enamel with a signed oil painting of a fox shown in superb detail. The whole compact is in excellent condition. The signature is on the extreme lower left of the fox - very subtle. The lid opens to reveal the most gorgeous interior with an excellent mirror. The accessories are pristine & show no signs of use. The base is glorious gleaming & delightful. We adore this compact! Even the cardboard Stratton box is robust & in good condition.
This magnificent 1950s Stratton 'Queen with compete inner lid' measures 3 1/2" & weighs 128.1 grams.
