This is an elegant late Regency period pedestal table with attractive rosewood inlaid detail. The table has a solid mahogany central pedestal with beautifully scrolled sabre legs that terminate in their original decorative hairy paw design brass castors. The solid mahogany sabre surfaces are inlaid with bands of rosewood as is the edging of the table surface. The long drawer is in good order, with its original turned handles and it runs freely in the piece.
The table is sound in its construction and has neat proportions measuring 74 cms high 78 cms wide by 46 cms deep.
