Regency era mahogany dressing table c.1820. Just 32″ wide but with a good sized oval dressing mirror within a crossbanded frame, angle adjustable on a conforming yoke with roll-over ends and brass bolts cast as delightful little pine cones. Over the original slim white marble top and single drawer below. Scrolling front supports ending in quality brass claw feet on a shaped plinth and turned bun feet with the original neat little brass castors. Superbly figured flame mahogany veneers arranged symmetrically across the piece. Some minor tarnish to the mirror plate which appears to be original but could be easily replaced. With an old hairline crack at the front of the marble and some repairs to the veneers. Otherwise excellent condition and particularly good colour. Restored, cleaned and polished in our workshops.
