A French Boulle work waisted mantel antique clock in Louis XVIth Style. The ornate case is veneered with tortoiseshell and inlaid with brass. It has ornate applied brass castings in the form of acanthus leaves . It has a pendulum window below the dial, which has blue numerals and is signed by the original retailer Hatton, Paris .The 8 day movement strikes the hours and halves on a bell and is stamped by the Maker Japy Frere. (France, c. 1870)
