Red Lacquer Wine Table
A very decorative red lacquer wine table. The table has a hardwood base and is made in the Chinese Chippendale manner with a very interesting cluster column stem. The table stands on shaped legs with a dish top with moulded edge. The red lacquer is typically decorated with Chinese scenes in gilt and polychrome. The condition of the lacquer is very worn on the top and there are some losses elsewhere. The whole has a great faded country house look. C.1900.
