Rare set of 4 French Empire armchairs
Set of 4 French Empire armchairs ( a11531 )
Extremely rare set of four French Empire open armchairs in solid mahogany, circa 1820 and in lovely condition
Beautifully carved frames with the dolphin to the arms, carved scales and these elegant legs - these are a very heavy chair and good enough quality to be a Cuban mahogany
The seat height is good, you could use these as dining chairs with a period table, but as salon or drawing room chairs, they are second to none and fantastic they have remained as a set.
The tapestry is in good condition, but if not to your taste, no problem to change for your own choice of upholstery - please get in touch
