Rare and unusual Georgian mahogany architects desk.
This fine quality desk has a double hinged tooled leather top which when raised, sits on ratchet stands and allows it to be used in a variety of positions at either side of the desk, the large secretaire drawer has a green leather writing slide above a drop well recess flanked by six rectangular lidded stationery boxes, each inlaid with letters of the alphabet, six further oak lined graduating drawers below with decorative brass handles, the polished back with two dummy drawers and panels below, standing on brass castors.
In fabulous , completely original condition with normal signs of wear and tear commensurate with age and use, this rare desk must be seen to be fully appreciated.
