This is a wonderful & rare collector's piece. A 1922 Glebeas compact with a beautiful inlaid medallion showing a lady looking into a large hand mirror. She is elegant with her hair tied back & her dress flows beautifully around her curves. The top of the medallion is signed 'Glebeas' in stylized elegant letters. Below this 'Adoration MINGLED BLOOMS'. Just gorgeous! The compact is in good condition despite being 93 years old. All clasps & hinges work very well. The lid lifts to reveal a powder well with a textured finish & a mirror that gives a good reflection. The mirror has a few age related marks but nothing that spoils the enjoyment of this rare antique vanity - they just make it seem all the more authentic. The base is inscribed 'PATENT APPLIED FOR'. The compact has a couple of dimples (not even dings) but again nothing that would prevent you from being delighted to have this in your collection - as I am!
This beautiful antique compact measures almost 2 1/2" & weighs 48.7 grams.
