A Superb George II Bureau Bookcase constructed from a very rare wood, Fiddle Back Mahogany.The upper bookcase section is topped by an impressive architectural pediment with a carved and gilded eagle to the centre, a pair of mirrored doors with adjustable shelves and two candle slides below. The bureau has a well fitted interior with 8 small drawers ,a small door and two secret drawers. Oak drawer liners have been used thoughout on this item. A very impressive and rare piece.
