Here we have a wonderful 19th century Burmese Kyeezee, bell or gong c1890. As you can see the original Padouk frame has great colour and patina. The Bell is large and very heavy and suspended by a beautifully made hammered metal bracket. The bell has an inscription and a Hare engraved to one side for rebirth and a Peacock to the other signifying pride and resistance. These are often used in meditation. The bell has a very satisfying long ring and tone and would be a great addition to any collection. The dimensions are approx bell 44 cm wide 30 cm high 2.5 cm deep. The whole 66 cm wide 50 cm high 20 cm deep.
