A lovely burr walnut writing table, or desk, in the Queen Anne style. Well made in solid walnut with attractive burr walnut veneers. The shaped top is inset with a sumptuous green leather writing surface, decorated with blind and gilt tooling. There is an arrangement of one long central drawer, flanked by two sets of graduated shorter drawers. All fitted with their original solid brass handles. The table stands on elegant cabriole legs with carved shell motifs to the knees. It is finished to the rear so could be free standing within a room if desired. Offered for sale in excellent original condition, with a good colour and patina. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops and ready to go straight into the home.
